2. Orientation: business scan

Digitisation can help you work more cost effectively, improve quality and reduce delivery times. But which technologies are available? And how does implementing the technology affect your processes and business model? What do customers and suppliers expect? What is a good business case and how do you finance it? And how do you acquire the necessary knowledge? Obtaining answers to these kinds of questions requires time and expertise that many small and medium-sized enterprises simply do not have. As a result, change and innovation can occur slowly if at all.

Help is available from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences and The Hague University of Applied Sciences. In a conversation lasting no more than an hour, all business processes are reviewed and challenges and opportunities are discussed. 3. Familiarisation: workshop

If you already know which technology you might like to apply, you can attend one of the many workshops offered by our field labs and associated experts. We also hold more general orientation sessions on the intricacies of smart manufacturing. Our Calendar (Dutch) contains an up-to-date overview of all workshops. In addition, our field labs can provide customised workshops for you and your colleagues. If you are interested in this option, contact the relevant field lab directly. 4. Testing: feasibility study

Do you know which existing technology you would like to apply? Avoid investing heavily in an idea that fails to produce the desired result by first testing its technical and/or financial feasibility. We can put you in touch with one of our field labs and various experts. We also issue vouchers (Dutch) to cover 50% of your costs. If you would like to learn more, please contact:

5. Networking: peer-to-peer groups

You know your business needs. But you require a sounding board to help you take the next step. Get in touch with us: we may be able to set up a peer-to-peer group of between four and six CEOs/CTOs with similar needs from different industries. These groups are always friendly and open. You can share your experiences on a certain topic and develop fresh perspectives and solutions. For example, we have previously set up a peer-to-peer group on micro-assembly.

We would also like to hear from you if you are looking for a supplier to solve a problem or searching for a manufacturer to apply your new technology.
