The future demands small-batch or even single-item manufacturing based on individual customer orders at mass production costs. This will require manufacturing systems with a high degree of flexibility that are capable of working within a very small margin of error. We develop and demonstrate different types of flexible systems in our field labs. Examples include robots that know how to load a machine based on digital drawings and 3D printers that know exactly how to print the next layer of a model based on the design they are printing. Are you interested in this? Please let us know. We would love to work with you.
We can help you address the various research questions you may have:
How can I use smart robots in small-batch or single-item manufacturing? | Which sensors, control technology and adjustment options are necessary for error-free manufacturing? | Can these types of robots handle large, flexible structures? | How can they quickly and cheaply be adapted to perform different tasks? | Does using robots to assist people with smart work instructions and decision making lead to greater efficiency?
We are here to partner with you to discover the right solutions.
